About

Danny Saul is a composer living and working in London. He is assistant to two-time Emmy Award winning film and TV composer John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The Last Kingdom, Belgravia, Shetland, Granchester, Lorna Doone, Waking the Dead).

He studied electroacoustic composition under the supervision of Professor David Berezan and was awarded a PhD in Music from the University of Manchester 2016, and Master of Music with distinction in 2012. His research focused on electroacoustic composition, multi-channel acousmatic composition, sound diffusion and space.

Credited TV work includes additional music for The Last Kingdom season 4 (Netflix, Carnival Films 2020).

Uncredited work includes additional music for The Last Kingdom season 3 (Netflix/Carnival Films), Shetland series 5 (BBC), and Jamestown season 3 (Sky/Carnival Films).

Danny has also composed music for EMI’s production music library KPM, as well as works for theatre (Beowulf, The Unicorn Theatre, London 2017).
